Your home has been a safe space for a long time. After a hard day’s work, you look forward to getting back and relaxing with your family.

Unfortunately, noise and anti-social activities from your neighbor are disturbing your peace. Perhaps music is blaring through the walls? Or, maybe loud verbal confrontations have become so regular and unruly that you are starting to become seriously concerned?

What options do you have in these scenarios? Is there a way to go back to the days when you enjoyed your dwelling?

What does your neighbor say about it?

It is important not to jump in immediately in a confrontational manner. Your neighbor might be completely unaware that you are upset. They may have miscalculated how loudly they were playing their favorite tunes. The verbal arguments might not have been what you initially thought.

It’s amazing how far an amicable conversation can go. Your neighbor could regret interfering with your enjoyment and take every step to ensure that this ceases. Of course, this is an ideal resolution. Sadly, disputes between neighbors can be much more complex.

Are they a tenant?

If you know for a fact that the property is rented, there may be a way for you to get in touch with the landlord. A stern warning might just be enough to put the anti-social behavior on ice. The last thing a landlord wants is to end up in any sort of legal dispute.
