Public disclosure is a main reason for copyrights

Copyrights and other elements of intellectual property law cover a lot of bases. A few examples include the following:

1. They protect inventors and creators by giving them the official rights to their products so that others can't steal them.

2. They help to streamline the process of creating products and getting them to consumers.

3. They protect ideas about things that have not even technically been invented yet.

4. They help to provide proof in court when such ideas are stolen and legal action needs to be taken.

However, one of the biggest reasons that copyright law was put into place is so that there will be far more public disclosure of technical advances and developments. These laws are directly designed so that people will share information, rather than hoarding it or hiding it, which can further the arts and sciences and allow development to continue.

Without these laws in place, inventors would have to keep all of their secrets close to their chest so they wouldn't be stolen. With the laws, the inventors know they are protected, so they can actually talk about what they're creating. These types of developments have been huge in shaping the course of all of human history, and the laws were set up so that this would not be impeded by the fear of theft of ideas.

Of course, this does not mean that this type of theft never happens in Florida. Those who have had ideas, products and other items stolen from them have to know what types of legal options they have. The law is there to help for those who know how to use it.
